The major achievement for any club is to win the “Bertshell Trophy”, – the Club Championship.
Up until the conclusion of 2017/18 season the winner of the Club Championship was determined by the below calculation. The aggregate points by each club were then divided by the number of teams plus one.
- A grade teams – winning points multiplied by 6
- B grade teams – winning points multiplied by 4
- C grade teams – winning points multiplied by 3
- D grade teams – winning points multiplied by 2
- E grade teams – winning points multiplied by 1
- F grade teams – winning points multiplied by 1
As of 2018/19 season the formula was amended due to the U10 and U12 competitions being played as one day matches thus the weighting of the U10 and U12 grade competition points being divided by 2. With further changes to the competitions all one day matches regardless of grade have their competition points divided by 2. Any two-day match points recorded as allocated for that round.
Below is the record since 1965-66 when the Club championship was first introduced as the Laurie Pender-BP Trophy. The Jannali Cricket Club were the inaugural winners.
