Neil came to the Club in 2006/07 and joined our committee in 2009/10 and becoming our longest serving Club Secretary.
Both of Neil’s sons Dylan and Bailey have played junior cricket for the Club. Dylan played 10 seasons for the club from 2006/07 to 2015/16. Dylan represented the SSJCA for 6 seasons from 2010/11 to 2015/16 and played Green Shield for the Sutherland District Cricket Club in 2015/16 before going on to play 2 seasons of grade cricket for Sutherland in 2016/17 & 2017/18.
Dylan was awarded “Junior Rookie of the Year” in 2008/09, “Junior Division Batting Performance Trophy” 2009/10, the Bradman Scholarship in 2011/12 and “Intermediate Fielding Performance Trophy” 2015/16.
Bailey played 10 seasons for the club from 2013/14 to 2022/23 and was selected in the SSJCA U10 Development squad in 2016/17. In the 2021/22 season Bailey’s bowling average of 3.79 set a new 16B record that stood for 63 years.
