Greg played for the club for 33 seasons (1973/74 to 2004/05) & (2006/07), 32 of which were consecutive. Greg commenced playing in 1973/74 in the U10A’s, in 1975/76 playing 12A’s, captured 80 wickets, breaking the Association record. Playing senior cricket, he won several Association batting awards as well as back-to-back A1 Premierships in 1999/00 & 2000/01 replicating his father Clem’s achievement in 1968/69 & 1969/70. Greg also coached low-grade junior teams for 4 seasons with his mate Dave Messiter. Greg was awarded the Senior Club Champion twice – 1982/83 & 1991/92.

- Intermediate Fielding “The Greg Heffernan Trophy” established in 1999
