Col is the club’s third longest serving player with 36 seasons – (1978/79 to 1994/95) & (2000/01 to 2019/20) and was awarded “Outstanding Junior in Men’s Cricket” in 1980/81. Col has been a regular team scorer and held many roles with the Club including Vice President and is our longest serving Treasurer. All three sons Tim, Matthew and Joshua played junior and senior cricket for more than 20 seasons. In 2015/16 season Tim set a club record for the highest innings with 339 not out and at the same time with brother Matthew set the record for the club’s highest ever partnership of 329. Tim set two more club records as the first Dragon’s player to break 1000 runs in a season with 1083 runs @ 90 and scored the most centuries in one season with 5 and was awarded the “SSCA Cricketer of the Year”. Tim also received the “Intermediate Wicket Keeper Performance Trophy” back-to-back 2010/11 & 2011/12, “Senior Batting Performance Trophy” in 2015/16 and “Senior Fielding Performance Trophy” in 2017/18. Josh was awarded “Junior Wicket Keeper Performance Trophy” and “Junior Batting Performance Trophy” in 2010/11 and the “Intermediate Wicket Keeper Performance Trophy” in 2012/13. Matthew was awarded Senior Club Champion in 2019/20 & 2020/21.
