Chris Moreland joined his brother Brad (2013) as a Life Membership of the Club at the completion of the 2017/18 season after completing twenty-five consecutive seasons of playing for the Dragons. Chris went on and played 28 seasons for the club – (1993/94 to 2019/20) & (2021/22).

Chris joined the Club in the 1993/94 season playing in our first ever U8 team. In 1995/96 he achieved a batting average of 96 for his undefeated 10D Premiership team. Chris won a 14A premiership in 1999/00 & 16A in 2001/02 as a wicket keeper. Chris played 4 seasons of representative cricket for the SSJCA from 1997/98 to 2000/01. Both of Chris’ brothers played for the club – Tim for 5 seasons – Moreland (1989/90 to 1993/94) and Brad for 4 seasons – (1992/93 to 1995/96)

Chris coached junior teams for 3 seasons from 2014/15 to 2016/17 and shared the joint role of Promotions Officer for 6 seasons from 2016/17 to 2021/22 with Tim Russell.
